Tonight we went to my brother-in-law's church for an evening service and family games afterwards. The song service was nice. Enjoyed singing "The Old Rugged Cross." The games were way fun. Kenny talked me into a 3 legged race. We came in 2nd. My son, Forest, did great in the potato sack race and so did my 3 year old, Phoebe. My 2 oldest girls, Abbigail and Abbiyah, came in 1st in the kids' 3 legged race. Kenny and I both did our best in the watermelon seed spitting contest. We also had home made ice cream and cookies. It was a great evening!
My first post...ever. Today I am full of expectation for what God will do. Not every day is like that, though I strive for it to be. But today, I feel excited about what God is working out in my life. I feel very, very rich, though not in material things. I have such a great husband who has been a huge strength to me in this life. I have 4 amazing kids that have taught me so much about who I am and who I need to be. I have the best friends that can be found. They have also, in many different ways and at various times, been a source of strength to me. And, in Jesus, I have an unending supply of strength and hope.
There are many loves in my life. Jesus is the first. Running a close second is my husband of 14+ years, Kenny D. I have 3 beautiful girls and 3 adventurous boys and one more baby on the way- though we won't know if it's a boy or girl until the sweet little one arrives. As a family we've had a crazy ride. It has slowed down a bit as our family has grown, but it won't be stopping anytime soon...
